JPMorganChase is hiring an Associate for its GF&BM Cards Finance team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. This is a full-time, mid-day shift opportunity within the Consumer & Community Banking division, ideal for finance professionals with strong FP&A experience looking to work closely with senior leadership on Cards & Connected Commerce business performance.
About the Role
The Cards & Connected Commerce Finance team provides real-time insights to Cards & Connected Commerce leadership on business performance, annual operating plans, standard financial reporting, and bespoke analysis. The team is structured with dedicated CFOs and CFO support teams, with each card product supported by an aligned finance team that owns the product P&L and related balance sheet impacts. The team translates business scenarios into actionable financial insights and supports real-time decision-making across a broad range of topics.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for leading and coordinating budgeting and forecasting, including short- and long-term projections across varying economic scenarios. FP&A partners closely with stakeholders across the firm to deliver reporting, analysis, and insights that enable effective decision-making.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure coordination of the budgeting and forecasting process for the Cards & Connected Commerce business
- Develop, consolidate, and present insightful and robust qualitative and quantitative financial analysis, including annual budget and quarterly/monthly forecast variances
- Serve as a liaison between Firm-wide P&A, lines of business, Functional Finance teams, and other support teams to provide impactful reporting, planning, and insightful analyses
- Produce presentations, analysis, and supporting materials for key internal clients including senior management; participate in and support ad-hoc special projects and requests as needed
- Conduct “deep dive” analyses on key issues impacting clients to determine root cause and propose solutions
- Collaborate with business partners across P&A, lines of business, and the firm to ensure timely, accurate, and effective delivery of recurring and ad-hoc initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders, including firm-wide, Functional Finance, and lines of business teams
Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills
- Graduation in Finance & Accounting
- 6+ years of overall experience in Financial Planning & Analysis
- Self-starter who is able to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with sound judgment, professional maturity, and personal integrity
- Strong work ethic, proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Comfortable with frequently changing priorities; team-oriented, inquisitive, critical thinker who anticipates questions from internal clients and senior management
- Ability to comprehend and clearly communicate complex concepts while maintaining composure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent organizational, management, and both verbal and written communication skills
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to navigate multiple data sets and synthesize them into cohesive presentations and recommendations
- Strong technical and analytical skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Essbase
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- CFA, CPA, or MBA, preferably within banking or financial services
